AZ Republic: Medicaid cuts would devastate Arizona's economy, business community says

Major Arizona business organizations want congressional leaders to reject possible cuts to Medicaid, adding to mounting pressure on elected GOP officials to protect the federal program.
A March 20 letter to Arizona's congressional delegation, signed by the Arizona Chamber of Commerce & Industry, the Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and 11 other business and economic groups from across the state, says significant Medicaid cuts would have "profound negative effects" on Arizonans covered by Medicaid, as well as on health care providers and the state's broader economy.
